The cast of RHOA.

Black women, ya’ll so excellent!

It leaves me in awe, as I look at your sacrifices. Peace and blessings to you tenfold. Praises from the Most High, as you have broken down walls, scaled barriers, heaped love upon yourselves, and entertained and inspired masses in the enduring process.

Peace and blessings to you all because you have been what you were called to do: Display unspeakable beauty, weather mighty storms, create something from nothing multiple times over, show us your immense power through truth and courage and unparalleled leadership, and bring the world together through love.

Everybody want to be like you!

The men, the women, the children. I am an observer of your ways, and I am as loving as can be, so I know what you all have really gone through, in front of those lenses.

Watching you, I laugh, I get angry, I muse, I applaud, and I harbor grudges against the stubborn and the unforgiving.

Yet, I am conscious that the love that you have displayed is enough to surmount even my own grudges. The way you gave, and gave again: unparalleled. That’s why I love you all so much!

To talk about your individual talents is something that I would love to do, and hopefully I can capture all of the jewels that you possess and willfully fling, so others can possess them too.

I have watched thirteen seasons of your show top to bottom, (minus some skipping and fast forwarding through the sometimes fluff), and I am imbued with energy to reach out to you and to assure you that none of you have lost:

There is no gain, but by a loss, thus Jesus taught who bore the cross.

In your shame and your embarrassment, you bore Christ. You showed love for humanity by being your “desperate,” “thirsty” selves.

NeNe, I know you’re crazy.

You have been like a broken record, but your release and freedom is here.

God bless you child, as you won, but you still couldn’t believe that you won.

The next steps for you? Give more than you receive. Ten times over.

Cynthia, you are a blessed child. I love everybody too, so I understand your “flip-flopping” ways, and your unmatched humility and grace. You truly try to love, even if it means taking shots in the face. This, is the definition of Christ, my friend.

Ms. Kandi Burress. You need that title, because your trajectory has been the winning arc that we’ve all wanted to see for our women.

I love your honesty, your poise, and your willingness to take questionable steps, for the team. Your impact may truly be under-appreciated.

Kenya, I pray for you but I know you are in a good place. You have to be. If not, call me! ☺️

Porsha, you are the love of my life. I see you clearly, and I know you know that you are seen as well.

What you have done for young women?? Unparalleled!

I send you the biggest hug and the most thankfulness, because you have been the game changer for EVERYONE: the old, the young, the middle-aged; the brown, the bronze and the creamsicles who long to do what we do, with as much style and grace.

I am a teacher of sorts, and what I have been looking out my window for, I have seen, as you all have been poster children for growth, courage, change, transcendence and MERCY.

MERCY.

Love mercy.

I hope to see you all on the screens again, but hopefully in another way that advances the cause of the needy, the lame and the poor.

Don’t fall for the same tired format. Revamp the show. More giving, less fluff.

The world needs us in a different way now, as we are a forward train, and this leg is done.

I hope to see you all give your time in more in-depth ways. Possess the gravitas that will propel you forward to the newest chapter that you seek.

Onward and upward, as we are the authors, as God has given us power to do.

I don’t know where you are currently in your lives, but I hope that you all will continue to grow closer, stronger, more settled, and more content. You’ve done well. You truly have.

You mean a lot to me, and you need us, just as much as we need you.

Take your time, step into good graces — and bring your posse along, for ‘we have a whole lotta mouths to feed!

The future belongs to us!

Fight on, my African Queens, fight on!

P.S. Oh, and Eva, take pride in the fact that I don’t have sh*t to say to you! 😘
